About Us

D3fect is a Skating and Apparel brand created by four Aussie teens who saw their true potential in a small hobby and decided to do something about it. Kem, Leon, Freddie and Dexter wanted more than just a skating identity, they wanted clothes and boards that they could relate to and that our generation can relate to.'

In the modern age, perfection isn’t strived for, it’s almost expected, but as humans, perfection is not an option. That’s where the name comes in, the word ‘Defect’ is used to describe a flaw or drawback that makes something imperfect. Now everyone has these drawbacks and flaws which instead of making us ‘imperfect’, they make us beautiful and unique. But modern society makes us seek perfection, it ridicules the minority and almost discards them. But not us, we see the beauty in the broken and the perfection in imperfection. Hence the coolest word that describes true beauty in one word was chosen, D3fect.  

D3fect is not just a name, it is accepting who we are; Imperfect. But here, we value authenticity, confidence and what it means to be human. Here we think people like us deserve a brand that represents them, not the fake version.
